What Are The Most Common Wrinkles Treatments?

Wrinkles are common signs of aging. They are formed when the dermis layer, which is below the surface layer of your skin becomes thin. As a result, wrinkles form around the mouth, eyes, and forehead.

Here are 5 most common wrinkles treatments:

1) Botox Therapy

It is one of the best ways to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles on your face. It involves injecting botulinum toxin into specific muscles which cause temporary muscle paralysis resulting in fewer frown lines between eyebrows and crow’s feet area at corners of eyes. However, it does not remove deep facial wrinkles like smile lines or nasolabial folds.

2) Microdermabrasion

It is an exfoliation treatment that involves dermal abrasion of the outermost surface of the skin, which helps in collagen production and reduces wrinkles. It can be performed by dermaplaning which is the use of a 10% salicylic acid solution, alpha hydroxyl acid (glycolic derivatives), microdermabrasion, or dermabrasion machine. However, dermaplaning procedure has its own side effects like postoperative pain, swelling, ecchymosis, or hematomas. Moreover, it may cause permanent scars after 2-3 derma planning.

3) Collagen Injections

Collagen injections offer a nonsurgical solution to frown lines and wrinkles. It helps create long-lasting collagen which reduces fine lines and wrinkles like those around the eyes, forehead, and mouth. However, its effects last for around 48-72 months depending on the depth of injection. It can be repeated after this period as dermal fillers or botulinum toxins.

4) Non-Surgical Face Lift

It is one of the therapeutic methods for facial rejuvenation that involves nonsurgical lifting effect through improved circulation, removal of free radicals from skin cells, stimulation of dermis growth factor production, dermal remodeling, and maintenance of skin suppleness with dermis thickness.

5) Moisturizers

Creams or moisturizers are used after dermal filler injections to rejuvenate skin. They also help in providing flexibility and elasticity to facial muscles and dermis.

One of the best ways to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles on your face is dermal filler injections which help in increasing collagen production. It should be taken after moisturizers for rejuvenating the skin.
